Humid evenings on the plain

It seems to get hotter just as the sun gets low, late afternoon, then as it gets this low, things cool down. But only a little. Tends to get quite hazy, like the shot above, and all the cicadas start their chorus...

Feeling At Home


However makeshift the house looks, it was surprisingly homely inside, and I actually miss squeezing in with the other 8, for rice twice a day. Here the mother is doing the weeks washing.

I Wish I Got Closer...


Walked for 1 1/2 hours from Tanah Rata, down a windy road deeper and deeper into the valley, until finally I found the Cameron Tea Plantation. I climbed over the bush, and just walked in, but I stayed up on top.I wish I had walked further in, closer to the tea pickers. Not even my 70-300mm lens would get close enough! Next time I'll get in there...

Cattle On Route No. 6



Route No. 6 is the main highway through Cambodia. Only recently has it been sealed, a few years back it was still dust. Alot of cattle gets walked along the side, and I hope it's not me infront when one decides to cross the road - it does happen. The driver was braking, swerving and accelerating so often that I struggled to get any sharp shots...

Last Shot In Bangkok


One last stroll past the rush hour traffic, before leaving Bangkok. I've heard that the authorities are phasing out these famous green mini buses, for a new model, and a different color. Apparently it's a relief for the locals, although I think they look quite cool...
