Looking west from Kep, on a blustery evening.

Some guys fishing on the Baray yesterday evening, with a thunderstorm as a backdrop

Very High, Very Hot, Very Tired

One of those evenings when you just can't get the shot you want. Too tired and hot to find a better vantage point, and too impatient to wait for the haze to maybe disappear! This was the best result anyway - looking north towards Siem Reap...

Wedding Shoot in Tah Prom

A newly wed Vietnamese couple were having a photo shoot in one of the temples of Angkor. What a fantastic place to do it...

Wat's Happening

Couple of snaps from Wat Bo this lunch time. Only a short visit, due to the severity of the sun. It's a huge place, with about 80 monks in residence. Will go back soon early in the morning...

Two Happy Young Men

Just some young monks who I stumbled across in the Pagoda over the road from the internet cafe!

An Old Khmer Reservoir

Due to the dry season, the island in the middle of the West Baray (which features temple ruins) was surrounded by rice paddies, but there were a few bits of interest elsewhere...

A Ghostly Quiet Fishing Village

Kompong Phluk is a medium sized fishing village south east of Siem Reap. There are pretty much two sections - one on land and one on water. Here are both on an extremely quiet afternoon. Not much activity at all, but I guess in fishing everything is finished by lunch time, and the afternoon is just to relax.

One shot before I was asked to leave

I thought they were all extremely hospitable here, but this man did not want a foreigner on his land - which is fair enough...

Bored, So I'll Post Some Photos...

These were taken in Takeo Province. There's alot of farming in the region, not many towns, so if you're not working, you spend your time just hanging around, sitting under the palms, or walking in the sun. Camera battery ran out pretty quick, and with no source of power, it sucked not being able to take any photos...

The Lone Duck Embryo Seller

Cycling along the raised track running through a large area of rice paddies. She seemed happy for a photograph!

Marriage In a Rural Community

Was lucky enough to travel down to the far south east of Cambodia for a friends marriage. Just a couple of shots to show a traditional wedding under the palm trees...

After sympathising for the ducks and their inevitable fate, it was upstairs for the first part of what was a day long ceremony.

The Road to Angkor Thom

The road to Angkor Thom - from the other side. A marked difference when compared to the tourist route!

More Pagoda Stuff

What I think really was the last of the Khmer New Year celebrations. This was at the pagoda south along the river in Kralanh, close to this family. I don't think many English villages could hold an event like this with such a fun vibe, hhmm...

Half way up Phnom Krom

Unfortunately, I could not make it up to the top of this 'mountain' due to financial reasoning only. Hey, it was nice enough half way up. At the time of the photo it's dry season, which is why the buildings look a little odd on stilts. Give it 3 months more, and the design will make sense...

A dollar a Day

Life in the home of a peasent family in Kralanh, North West Cambodia. It's insane how little the cost of living can be though, making it almost possible to have a 'reasonably' comfortable living for little over a dollar a day...

Khmer New Year in Pagoda

Everyone seemed real happy at the pagoda yesterday. It was the last day of Khmer New Year so lots of fun and games. The monks were busy cleaning though...
